Each painting has its own way of evolving
When the painting is finished, the subject reveals itself. (William Baziotes)
How true! When I first began painting landscapes, I tried to paint from one end of the horizon to the other. Over time, I learned how to focus and edit, thus training my eyes to see. Nevertheless, my paintings evolve in such a way that often what I start to paint changes on its own and surprises even me when I complete it.
