Sleeping Pigs (1998)
What possessed me to paint these pigs? Perhaps it was the light slipping under the barn door and drizzling across the floor, the reflection of the white pig on the concrete, or the contrast between the animals, one dark and the other light. Whatever it was, few artists paint porkers. I thought it would be unique.

“The painting has a life of its own. I try to let it come through.”
