Elephant (1999)
Neolithic rock paintings show that African elephants inhabited the Sahara before it became desert. Unfortunately, as humans destroy their habitat, elephants often are confined to smaller territories and forced into closer, often negative, association with farmers. Elephants spend 16 hours a day feeding and can go several days without drinking although they would drink and bathe daily by choice. An elephant can reach 30 kph at top speed, which is fast enough to overtake a man running.
